Community Sports

I've been looking for a chance to play on a sports team and heard of a few options that I wanted to share. I also wanted to hear if any of you had suggestions for community sports both in SLU and Seattle in general.

• Pickup Basketball:There are daily noon pickup basketball games at the outdoor basketball court by Denny Park and a website that tracks who is planning on going (http://infinitehoops.com/groups/137/Seattle_WA).
• Summer Kickball: I saw kickball games last summer in the Cascade Park last summer and met Ryan who helps organize the event. Does anyone know how teams are made and what teams played last year? Perhaps we could do a TheSouthlake.com team!
• Soccer:Does anyone have suggestions for a soccer league to join? Anyone else getting excited for the Sounders season?

Love it. This may be more of a Capitol Hill thing but Dodgeball is another one. We don't have any tennis courts in SLU but we do have the Armory.

Definitely up for kickball at Cascade Park. Any other takers?

This is the organization for kickball at cascade park, i'm not interested in playing, but have numerous friends that play different sports with underdog and love it. It looks like the Mon/Wed league still has openings.

Speaking of sports, would anyone be interested in getting together to watch the Sounders opening game on Thursday March 19th? I was thinking somewhere like Paddy Coynes.
